Hastelloy wire mesh is a premium nickel-based alloy mesh, composed primarily of nickel, molybdenum, and chromium. It is part of the high-performance alloy family alongside Monel and nickel-chromium wire meshes. Common grades include Hastelloy B, C22, C276, and X, each tailored for specific chemical and industrial environments.
Renowned as one of the most corrosion-resistant metal materials, Hastelloy wire mesh excels in acidic, oxidizing, saline, and other highly corrosive environments. Hastelloy B standard mesh is widely used due to its exceptional resistance to hydrochloric acid across all concentrations, temperatures, and conditions. B-3 grade surpasses B-2 in chemical stability and reduced cracking, making it suitable for high-temperature and aggressive chemical applications, including hydrogen chloride gas exposure.
