Monel wire mesh, similar to Inconel wire mesh, is a woven mesh made from nickel-based alloy wires. Monel is an alloy primarily composed of nickel and copper, with different grades including Monel 400 and Monel K500.
Monel 400 offers excellent corrosion resistance, particularly in flowing seawater, and is highly resistant to stress corrosion cracking, making it the most widely used Monel grade. Monel K500 shares the superior corrosion resistance of Monel 400 but contains added aluminum, providing greater tensile strength and hardness.
Monel wire mesh is available in fine weave (mesh number >80) and coarse weave (mesh number ≤80), allowing customization for different filtration and industrial applications.
